igroup employee receives sponsored trip to PalmerSport
One of our marketing team’s core members, Jack Leese, a keen motor sport enthusiast who partakes in rallying during his spare time was recently rewarded with a sponsored trip to PalmerSport on the 25th November for increasing leads by 18% and smashing his target in the process.
PalmerSport is a full-day driving event, created in 1991 by former F1 racer Jonathan Palmer, which has earned a well-established reputation as the best corporate motor sport event in the world. Jack was lucky enough to enjoy one of the most exhilarating experience’s motor sport has to offer, during his time there, which he described as “one of the most memorable days of his life”.
Steve Rastall, the Managing Director of igroup accompanied Jack to the event by. The day started at 9am with a full English breakfast, whilst listening to a driver briefing. Shortly after, Jack and Steve were put into a team with other people attending the event and collected by mini-bus taking them to the East circuit, Jack drove an Ariel Atom which made for a good first session, being the quickest by over a second in a 0.75-mile lap.
Over the course of the day Jack had the opportunity to drive all sorts of different vehicles ranging from a formula 3000, to a BMW M4 GTP, all the way to a Land Rover Defender driving on rock-strewn paths, through rivers, and up steep slopes.
The day concluded with a trophy presentation where Jack was awarded with a driver of the day trophy for winning overall out of the 8 different driving experiences within in his team. Jack would like to express a “massive thanks” to igroup for inviting him on this day as he feels he has become a much better driver from it increasing his adaptability as well as having a great time.
