IG CloudOps welcomed Pedro, one of the Portuguese development team, last week, to work alongside the UK based team. As Pedro is an avid climber, it was decided to take the team to the Boardroom climbing experience in Queensferry.

The Boardroom is a modern dedicated indoor bouldering and climbing centre consisting of: a competition bouldering wall, lead climbing and top ropes, IFSC speed climbing wall and the Psicobloc, an 8m high free solo wall.

Climbing is a unique sport, making it exciting and unusual. As well as the obvious physical benefits the sport offers, it also stimulates and improves a person’s cognitive ability, as well as being a great way to relieve stress.

Pedro enjoyed showing off his talent, but fun was had by all. Managing director Steve Rastall said, “It was great fun and it was good to see the team getting on well outside of office hours. I was impressed at Pedro’s skill and confidence in a different environment. He’s an exceptional climber.”
